Medical Care Needed

The first man we assisted with bond has been out of ICE prison since April 9, 2019. He recently was diagnosed with an infection in one of his legs. The university medical care team he has seen determined that the infection has traveled right into his bone. He will need surgery to have antibiotics deposited directly onto the bone. As you can guess, our man has no insurance and little in the way of savings.

If you would like to donate toward this medical care, please send a check to the Immigrant Freedom Fund, 745 East 5th St., Loveland, CO 80537 with “medical care” in the memo line, or donate at www.immigrantfreedomfund.com through PayPal with a note that the donation is for medical care.

Citizenship for All

Next Friday marks Biden’s 100th day in office, and we have yet to have any significant progress in providing immigration relief and overhauling our immigration system. It’s time for us to take a stand and call on President Biden and our Members of Congress to take action!!

Two events will be hosted next Friday to uplift these demands: one virtual and one in-person. Ingrid Encalada, No Más Chuecos, CIRC & other immigrant rights organizations will be gathering at Roosevelt Park (700 Longs Peak Ave) in Longmont, Colorado at 5:30pm on Friday April 30th for a Citizenship for All March. We will hear demands from immigrant leaders and send a message to our elected officials to provide a pathway to Citizenship for ALL 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. Interpretation between Spanish and English will be provided. If you are able to, please join us, and help us spread the word by sharing this Facebook Event and these flyers for the event.

Simultaneously, CIRC will be hosting a statewide virtual Eyes on ICE town hall in partnership with Mijente Friday April 30th 5:30 – 7pm with interpretation in Spanish and English. The virtual town hall will give Coloradans who have experienced and organized against cruel and inhumane treatment at the hands of ICE an opportunity to put a spotlight on their experiences and present demands for change. CIRC is inviting all community members and elected officials at every level in Colorado to listen to testimony and push for immediate action from the Biden administration and Congress to act.
